Hope of Israel Ministries (Ecclesia of YEHOVAH):

Are We Nearing the End of a Long Journey?

The wars, the waste, the shipping of industries and jobs away from our shores, and the corruption have taken such a toll, that if we are honest, we realize we have gone well past the point of no return. Then too, natural disasters are beginning to wreak havoc in our lands, as if pointing to Joel's prophecy, "Ye shall not go unpunished." "It is the time of Jacob's trouble" (Jeremiah 30:7).

by Brooks Alden

"But whosoever hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil" (Proverbs 1:33).

The prophet Daniel said of these times, "....and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation...." (Daniel 12:1). Jeremiah prophesied, "Alas, for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble" (Jeremiah 30:7). Zephaniah wrote, "The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly" (Zephaniah 1:14).

When you consider the plight of the world today, the wars, the economic morass, the debt, the lack of morality, and so on, it reminds one of what the Century Magazine published nearly fifty years ago, "POLITICAL LIFE has become paganized by its passion for power at any price, BUSINESS LIFE by its scramble for profit at any price, and SOCIAL LIFE by its devotion to pleasure at any price." Is it any wonder there is such confusion in our lives today?

Sadly, it is the era of the unscrupulous rich who control the corporations that have bought everything, from key politicians to media to entertainment. They have even influenced religion to the point where true Christianity has become so watered down that it has become as ineffective as a toothless tiger.

It's not that we weren't warned! A long time ago, on November 21, 1864, Abraham Lincoln wrote the following in a letter to William P. Elkin:

"We may all congratulate ourselves that this cruel war is nearing its close. It has cost a vast amount of treasure and blood. The best blood of the flower of American youth has been freely offered upon our country's altar that the Nation might live. It has been indeed a trying hour for the Republic; but I see in the near future, a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working on the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war. God grant that my suspicions may prove groundless."

Lincoln would be turning over in his grave if he could see just how prophetic his words were. Then too, Thomas Jefferson warned us of the danger of allowing the banking industry to fleece citizens and, if we think of the additional trillions of dollars they have taken from taxpayers since 2008, perhaps we will understand what Jefferson meant when he said, "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a money aristocracy that has set the Government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the Government and the people, to whom it rightfully belongs."

Just consider this, the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States, a privately owned institution, despite the window dressing to make it appear government owned, began controlling the issuance of money from its inception in 1913/1914. And together with other central and powerful banking institutions, through their usurious powers, they have basically placed our Israel nations and our people in bondage. This is why YEHOVAH God prohibited usury amongst brethren. This is why President Andrew Jackson fought so diligently against the central bank in his time. And it is the major reason why prices and taxes have accelerated so dramatically and why poverty levels are at such frightening levels.

The debt clock of our Israel nations is ticking, ticking, ticking! We hear about America's trillions that are so indebted to China. The Bible tells us the "borrower is servant to the lender" so we can sadly understand why concession after concession is being offered. It's no different in the other Israel nations, perhaps not as severe as in America, but they are all close enough behind. The wars, the waste, the shipping of industries and jobs away from our shores, and the corruption have taken such a toll, that if we are honest, we realize we have gone well past the point of no return. Then too, natural disasters are beginning to wreak havoc in our lands, as if pointing to Joel's prophecy, "Ye shall not go unpunished."

Yet, strangely enough, it is as if we have arrived at that point when it could be said, "it is the calm before the storm." Ezekiel (Chapter 7) prophesied repeatedly of the land of Israel, "An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.......An end is come, the end is come; it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come....The time is come, the day draweth near..."

Well, it is time to pay attention. Daniel's description echo's Jeremiah's (30:7): "it is the time of Jacob's trouble." The cold hard fact is that we are not able to get out of this by ourselves; in fact, conditions will become progressively worse from now until the return of YEHOVAH God and His Messiah. In saying this, have you noticed how the tempo of control has picked up since the disaster of 2001?

In past articles I have referred to this period as the harvest stage of the Esau (Jewish) Dominion and I wondered at the time if 2012 might be the overthrow of that bondage, it didn't happen then but perhaps it will in the same way as the Egyptian's bondage of Israel came to an end with the 11th judgment upon Egypt, through their overthrow at the Red Sea. I am fascinated by Ezekiel's description of the release of our bondage in Chapter 34:27 and equally fascinated by YEHOVAH God's punishment of Esau that immediately follows in Chapter 35.

"Then the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase. They [Israel] shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them" (Ezekiel 34:27, NKJV).

"Then you [Edom -- Jews] shall know that I am the LORD. I have heard all your blasphemies which you have spoken against the mountains [countries] of Israel, saying, 'They are desolate; they are given to us to consume.' Thus with your mouth you have boasted against Me and multiplied your words against Me; I have heard them. Thus says the LORD God: The whole earth will rejoice when I make you desolate. As you rejoiced because the inheritance of the House of Israel was desolate, so I will do to you; you shall be desolate, O Mount Seir, as well as all of Edom -- all of it!" (Ezekiel 35:12-15, NKJV).

So, it must be asked, "Are we in that period of "God's Great Timing?" Are we really entering into the final year of the seventh prophetic hour? Soon, we will learn, but, true Israel's world is perched precariously upon a tinderbox of unsustainable debt and evil and any wrong movement by the perpetrators will send it crashing down. I like the poetic NIV description of Revelation 18:19-20: "They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out:

"'Woe! Woe, O great city,
where all who had ships on the sea
became rich through her wealth!
In one hour she has been brought to ruin!
Rejoice over her, O heaven!
Rejoice, saints and apostles and prophets!
God has judged her for the way she treated you'"

Soon, whether 2023 or beyond, Israelites will have learned what the antidote is for all the trouble we face, for it is YEHOVAH's Mercy and the fulfillment of His Promise to come to our aid. And isn't it wonderful to know that true Israelite Christians can look to many promises YEHOVAH God had recorded by prophets in the Bible that echo Proverbs 1:33, "But whosoever hearkeneth unto Me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil." What did the Psalmist write in Chapter 23, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

What a wonderful time in which to be living. It won't be pleasant to see all that is to take place and it will be unnerving. Frightening is perhaps a better word! Yet, fortunately, when Babylon falls and the evil ship of the Satanic Kingdom bounces helplessly around in the turbulent waters, and we true Christian Israelites are caught up in the waves of its disaster, we can be certain that we will hear a beckoning call, "it is I; be not afraid."
