From the General to the Specific

As it was in the days of Noah when the general public was acting in a sinful manner, YEHOVAH God Almighty poured out the great deluge as a universal judgment upon the world to destroy sinners. You may read of some of this analysis in 2 Peter 3.

Even today, it seems that our world is so similar to the days of Noah, in that only a few people wish to be strong in the Faith of the sacred Scriptures, and live by every Word that has been spoken by our Father in heaven.

When Yeshua the Messiah was here on this earth, he called his disciples to be fishers of men. This commission evidently was taken from the prophecy of Jeremiah 16:16-21.

"Behold, I will send for many fishermen," says the LORD, "and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. For my eyes are upon all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes. And first I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols."

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, "Surely our fathers have inherited lies, worthlessness and unprofitable things." Will a man make gods for himself, which are not gods?

"Therefore behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know My hand and My might; and they shall know that My name is the LORD."

YEHOVAH God Almighty is calling His people out of this present evil world, and those who are responding, although few, will some day reign with YEHOVAH God and Yeshua the Messiah in the Kingdom of YEHOVAH God.

YEHOVAH asks us to separate ourselves from sin and sinful living. By sin we mean the scriptural definition of sin which we find in I John 3:4: "Everyone that commits sin also transgresses the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

However, most people today are absorbed with a Laodicean attitude and that liberal lifestyle. See Revelation 3:14-22. Today, life is easy for many people. It is described in Amos 6:1-11. (Read this passage carefully from a good modern-language translation.) We sometimes wonder where the people are that will voluntarily live by every Word YEHOVAH has spoken, living the Kingdom way of life. Are you one of those people? Then you should plan to connect with this ministry. Study the Bible with the Hope of Israel Ministries! May we help you in your spiritual life? You will be glad some day that you answered the call.
