2 Hope of Israel Ministries BIBLE Correspondence Course Lesson 2

An Open Letter from the Staff...

Much confusion exists within
Christian circles today due largely to the
misuse and misunderstanding of the terms
Hebrew, Israelite and Jew.
Much of the confusion arises because
the nation of Israel was split into two separate
kingdoms under the rule of Rehoboam and
Jeroboam -- see I Kings 11 and 12.
As a result, care must be taken to
determine the intended meaning of these terms
according to the overall CONTEXT within
which they are used in the Bible. For example,
the terms Jew and Judean are not equivalent -- HOPE OF ISRAEL MINISTRIES
or even closely related. Yet many treat them as BIBLE
such. Some say the Judeans were Israelites, CORRESPONDENCE COURSE
others say that part of them were Israelites, and
still others claim none of them were Israelites! LESSON 2
